What happens after your offer gets accepted?

Number One:

Order the home inspection. This usually takes place after you open escrow. A qualified home inspector will go out to the home you are purchasing to perform a thorough inspection. After the inspection is completed, they will provide you with a detailed report of their findings. If repairs are needed, you can try to renegotiate with the seller for a credit or request repairs.

Number Two:

Order the appraisal. Your lender will be the one that orders the appraisal. This is required and can impact your ability to get a loan. The appraiser will go out to the property to do an inspection and their job is to determine the current value of the home you are purchasing. The appraisal will also determine how much your lender is willing to lend you.

Number Three:

Getting your loan approved. The last thing is to make sure your loan gets approved so you can secure the funds when escrow closes! Your real estate agent should be in contact with your lender throughout the process to ensure things are getting completed so escrow can close on time. It is important to keep in good communication with your real estate agent so that everyone is on the same page.
